MCA-Omaha Seminar with Harry Bederian

Building a Bridge Between the Field and Office in the Construction Industry

RECOMMENDED FOR A PROJECT ENGINEER OR ASSISTANT PROJECT MANAGER AND A JOURNEYMAN OR FOREMAN TO COME AS A PAIR. 2-15 YEARS OF EXPERIENCE.

In this unique class, attendees must attend in a pair, ideally, a Project Engineer or Assistant PM and a Journeyman or Foreman. The idea of this class is to bring future leaders of companies together and bridge the connection gap between the office staff and craft. During the seminar, we will discuss and explore the challenges both individuals face in their role and help develop a cohesive partnership with the future leaders of companies. Through team building activities and discussions, we will break down walls, barriers and misconceptions between the project office staff and the field, thus build a trusting and open relationship between the two roles and individuals. Recommend to attend in pairs: 1 field personnel and 1 office personnel. Multiple pairs from the same company are welcome. Individuals attending alone will be paired with other individuals from other companies. They will still gain valuable experience, but the goal is to enhance the relationship between individuals at the same company.

Learning Objectives:

  • Individuals will walk away with a better understanding of each other’s roles and responsibilities.
  • Individuals will gain a better understanding of the others perspective within their role.
  • Attendees will build a stronger connection with each other and take this experience back to the jobsite.
