Marijuana Usage: What Employers Need to Know About Reasonable Suspicion
With evolving state marijuana laws and ongoing federal regulations, employers are facing increasing uncertainty about how to respond to marijuana use in the workplace. The growing patchwork of legalization, decriminalization, and federal oversight has created new compliance challenges, particularly when it comes to identifying and addressing reasonable suspicion.
In this one-hour live webinar, we will explore what employers currently know and where gray areas still exist regarding marijuana use, workplace policies, and enforcement. We will discuss how federal requirements intersect with state laws, the fundamentals of reasonable suspicion determinations, documentation best practices, and practical considerations for supervisors, business owners, and HR professionals.
Participants will walk away with clearer guidance on how to approach workplace situations involving marijuana, reduce organizational risk, and maintain a safe and compliant work environment in today’s shifting legal landscape.
