This event had been canceled due to lack of interest. We’ll circle around next year for a new, less complicated service project.
The MCA-Omaha Leadership Academy students have a brand new charity event for 2021 (rescheduled from Fall 2020).
How does it work?
• October 29th – Company registration due!
• November 12th – Academy bucket delivered to your office
• November 15th – November 19th – Coin / Cash Drive and Online Sabotages (concludes at 1pm on 11/19)
• November 19th – Buckets and envelope picked up from your office (between 1:00 – 3:30 PM)
• November 23rd – Winning company announced!
The FUN part involves competitive sabotages. Each evening during the week of the drive (November 15 – 18) an Academy member will call your preferred contact to get your donation total for the day (networking connection!). Company totals will be posted on the leader-board below the following morning.
Throughout the day, a company or individual can make donation pledges against any other company to sabotage their leader-board standing. All online sabotage donations will count negatively against bucket totals.
Example
Company XYZ has $200 in bucket donations, a $50 sabotage was pledged from company WWW, XYZ’s new total is $150.
Winning Team
The company with highest dollar amount at the end of the week will be the winner and get to select a charity of their choice!
*Online sabotage pledges will go in a separate envelope from the bucket donations and will need to be paid when the bucket is picked on November 19th to be officially counted.
