From occasional wine sippers to true lovers of wine, all will enjoy this relaxing evening with industry friends, co-workers, guests, and of course the UNL and UNO students / honorary sommeliers.

What is the MCA-Omaha Leadership Academy?
The MCA-Omaha Leadership Academy is a multi-campus student organization under the guidance of the Mechanical Contractors Association of Omaha.
Who’s Invited to the Wine Tasting Event?
All MCA-Omaha Members, Associate Members, Industry Friends, Academy Alumni, and guests are encouraged to attend. Please note that attendees must be 21+.
Where’s the Event this Year?
Soaring Wings is only a 10-15 minute drive from Omaha and is technically in Springfield, NE.
What’s the Parking Situation?
Ample parking is available, but please note there is a 1-mile stretch of gravel road.
What is the Appropriate Wine Tasting Attire for 2021?
We moved the event up a few weeks to utilize an outdoor venue. Attire is casual and we recommend bringing layers if cool weather is in the forecast. Flat shoes are recommended.
Is There a Theme?
In conjunction with our local kickoff for WiMi (Women in the Mechanical Industry), all 2021 presenters will be female! Stay tuned for more details regarding our November WiMi events.
Are the Tables Reserved?
Tables of 8-10 may be reserved for your company. Individual tickets may also be purchased and seating will be predetermined to fill tables.
Will There Be Food?
Of course! We will be having heavy hors d’Oeuvres along with a cheese tray.
Do I Need Cash for Anything?
Yes, it is a “cash bar” and we will also have a live auction with wine related items. Soaring Wings does accept credit cards for bar purchases ($10 minimum charge).
Does Soaring Wings Sell Beer?
Yes! They make their own beers too! Due to licensing, we are only able to have Soaring Wings wine and beer on property. Mixed drinks will not be sold during the cocktail hour. We will also not be providing any pre-purchased drink tickets.
Any Covid-19 Restrictions?
As with all 2020-2021 events, things are fluid. We’ll keep you informed if anything changes. We’ll follow current CDC guidelines and are excited to be outdoors and in-person!
