Toilet Paper Challenge - Community Service Project - Canceled


Teams of contractors are encouraged to collect toilet paper and build creative structures that will be judged by a panel of industry judges and/or local celebrities.  The tp and any additional items will be donated to the Stephen Center in Omaha.  This is a brand new community service project for our Academy students and we hope to have quite a few participating teams for the inaugural year!


Team Details:

Participants can all be from your company, combined from multiple companies, or you can even create an inner-office rivalry by having department teams battle it out.  Each team will need to have a team captain (hopefully a young professional from your office) attend the kick-off meeting on January 26th.  Captains will be responsible for your design, as well as motivating your team and distributing information around the office.  Academy Members will be on hand during check-in to help unload, but they are still welcome to be your team captain if they are one of your interns.


Scoring & Awards:

  • TP Champions – quantity award for donated toilet paper
  • Golden Plunger – creativity award for structure design

Both awards will be recognized with a traveling trophy and bragging rights in the E-update.  Specific building rules will be discussed at the captain meeting.


Building Items:

70% of your structure will need to be wrapped toilet paper

30% can be items used to ‘decorate’ your structure from the following list.
The decorative items will not be counted for the quantity award, but will be included for the overall creativity award. 


Most Needed Items in February:

Twin Bed Sheets
Shampoo and Conditioner
Feminine Hygiene Products
Combs or Brushes
Cough Drops
Tylenol or Cold/Flu Medication

+ Toilet Paper – Huge multi-packs, individually wrapped rolls, and everything in between is fair game!


Event Timeline:

• January 19th – Team Registration (and captain) Form Due


• January 26th – Kick-Off Meeting for Team Captains
3:30 – 5:00 PM @ MCA-Omaha
Adult beverages and snacks provided


• February 15th – Team Attendee #’s Due


• February 21st – TP Challenge Event

3:00 Check-In & Unload at Metro
4:00 Building Competition
5:30 Judging and Group Photos
6:00 – 7:00 Load Donations in Trucks and Deliver to Stephen Center  (2 blocks away)
Cookies and hot chocolate provided
